Mazda Furai

The Mazda Furai was first introduced in the 2008 North American International Auto Show. It was shown again in the 2008 Canadian International Auto Show held in February. The Furai was inspired by the Mazda Le Mans racer. It also bears the number 55. 55 was the number of the Mazda vehicle that won it's one and only Le Mans race. The Furai features new futuristic designs. It has flowing lines inspired by the movement of gas. It is also sculpted aerodynamically to improve it's performance. Downforce is aided by a huge spoiler at the back. Also featured was a radical rear diffuser. The air passing through the diffuser creates a suction, pulling the car to the ground. The Furai uses the Mazda 20B Wankel(Rotary) engine with 3 rotors. This engine has a displacement of 2Litres. However, unlike Piston engines, the horsepower produced almost doubles. This car is rated at 405hp. This is a tremendous amount of horsepower for a 2Litre engine. If the Furai ever enters production, it will definately represent Mazda in the stage for Supercars.

Honda CR-Z

The Honda CR-Z concept was released in the 2007 Tokyo Auto Show. It is designed to be a lightweight sport hatchback with a hybrid propulsion. It features a new futuristic design, different from the current designs of Honda. Due to the lightness of this car, it should receive an engine inbetween 1.4-3Litres. An engine inbetween would provide adequate power for a small hatchback. Honda CEO Takeo Fukui claims that a production version has been planned.

Holden Efijy

The Holden Efijy was release in the 2005 Australian International Auto Show. The Efijy's design is pure Hot Rod and has received many awards for this. A Hot Rod must be Hot to make it a Hot Rod, it features a 6Litre V8 engine supplied by Chevrolet. It has been Supercharged and modified by Ron Harrop. This produces 645hp along with 550lb/ft of torque. The Efijy is surely Hot.

EDAG Biwak

The Biwak concept is based on the classic design of the Beetle. Produced by EDAG(Engineering Design AG), it was released in the 2006 Geneva Motor Show. The Biwak is basically a wagon or estate version of the Volkswagen Beetle.

Tata Xover

The Xover was designed to be a 7-seater SUV. Released in the 2005 Geneva Motor Show, the Xover is designed by the Indian manufacturer Tata. Although meant to be an SUV, it looks more like a minivan. The Xover features luxuries you wouldn't expect to find in an Indian car. It features rear seat entertainment, leather upholstery, satellite radio, GPS and more. This is an Indian car that I find attractive.

Tata Elegante

The Elegante is a compact/mid-sized sedan produced by the Indian manufacturer Tata. It was released in the 2007 Geneva Motor Show. It is designed to replace the Tata Indigo. This car will feature an engine inbetween 1.4-2Litres using the configuration of V6. Horsepower ranges from 89hp-197hp. The Tata Elegante features all the modern features of cars manufactured by more advanced car manufacturers. The Elegante may make it to production lines.

Jeep Trailhawk

The Jeep Trailhawk is designed to be a mid-sized SUV. It seats 4 passengers in luxury. With leather and aluminium being the main elements of the interior. The removable panels on the roof can be removed to provide an open air driving experience found in traditional Jeeps. However, when the panels are fitted on, you get an off-road vehicle tamed for the streets. Featuring a 3Litre Diesel engine capable of producing 215hp, this is the perfect car for a family whether for an adventure or just for a drive to a restaurant, the Jeep Trailhawk will transport you in prestige and luxury.
